Terms of business
The framework of terms on which enquiries, quotes and bookings are handled. Your written quote sets out the terms that apply to your job.
Draft for legal review. This page is a framework prepared for UK FAIR PRICE REMOVALS LTD and has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor. It should be reviewed and completed before the site is relied on.

1. Who these terms are between
These terms apply between UK FAIR PRICE REMOVALS LTD (company number 14904579, registered office Suite 13, 30 Uphall Road, Ilford, IG1 2JF) and you, the customer named on the quote. Where you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
2. Enquiries are not bookings
Submitting a form on this website sends an enquiry for review. It does not confirm a price, vehicle availability, a date or acceptance of a booking. A booking exists only when you have accepted a written quote and we have confirmed the vehicle and date in writing.
3. Quotes
A quote is for the job as described in it: the addresses, access, items or consignment, dates and extras stated. It is valid for the period stated on it. If the work on the day differs materially from the description, additional work is charged at the rates stated in the quote. We will tell you before carrying out additional chargeable work where it is practical to do so.
4. Your responsibilities
- To give accurate information about the items or consignment, the access at each address and the dates.
- To arrange parking permissions, lift bookings and building access where these are needed, unless the quote says we will.
- To pack items you have agreed to pack, empty appliances, and have gas appliances disconnected by a qualified engineer before we arrive.
- To tell us in advance about items of unusual value, fragility or weight.
- To be present, or have someone present with authority, at collection and delivery.
5. Things we do not carry
We do not carry hazardous or prohibited goods, living animals, or items that would be illegal to carry. Cash, jewellery, documents of value and similar items should travel with you. Tell us before booking about anything you are unsure of. [TO CONFIRM list]
6. Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are stated on your quote. [TO CONFIRM standard terms]
7. Changes and cancellation
If you need to change the date or cancel, tell us as soon as possible. Any charges for changes or cancellation are stated on your quote and depend on how much notice is given. [TO CONFIRM cancellation schedule]
8. Delays
We plan every job to the times agreed but cannot guarantee arrival or delivery times affected by traffic, weather, key release, building access or other matters outside our control. Waiting time beyond the allowance in your quote is charged at the rate stated in it.
9. Our liability for your goods
The level of cover for goods in transit and the limits and exclusions that apply are stated on your quote. [TO CONFIRM goods in transit and public liability details] Any damage must be reported to us in writing within the period stated on the quote. We are not liable for damage to items packed by you unless caused by our negligence in handling the packed box, for the contents of drawers or appliances not emptied, or for pre-existing faults or damage.
10. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, contact us with your reference number and we will investigate and respond in writing. [TO CONFIRM complaints timescale]
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
